Suleyman the Magnificent commissioned this mosque which is the second largest in Istanbul. It was completed in 1557 AD. (C.E..) The photos below include the courtyard with a central fountain. There is an entrance to the main mosque from the courtyard. Other photos show the interior, as well as, grassy areas around the mosque complex and behind the mosque where there are sensational views of both the Bosphorus and in the distance, the Sultan Ahmet (Blue Mosque).
